Pigs are bigger than you may think. A “half a hog” can be up to 75 or even 100 pounds of meat. Our samplers let you try pastured pork without buying a new freezer.

We carefully choose cuts to give you a sampler that mirrors a half or quarter pastured pork share like you’d get direct from a small farm. Our sampler breakdown is currently: 35% chops and steaks, 35% shoulder and ham roasts, 10-25% ground pork, sausage, and bacon, and up to 10% ribs, jowls, and hocks.

We now offer uncured, sugar-free bacon as well as an all natural, celery salt-based cure.

All our pork comes from hogs that spent their lives exclusively on wooded pastures in the Ozark hills. Our current samplers feature the Guinea Hog from the Slow Food Ark of Taste as well as a Berkshire-Tamworth cross.

pastured vs. grass-fed

Unlike cows, hogs are omnivores, just like us. Hogs do better with a varied and balanced diet. Many farmers accomplish this by keeping their pigs on pasture full time and also providing supplemental calories. Learn more about our standards for hogs.

We’re currently offering samplers in 10-lb ($109) and 20-lb ($218) sizes. We can also build samplers in larger sizes. Use our contact form to inquire about custom samplers.

USDA inspection

We work with a USDA- and Animal Welfare-approved butcher to ensure animals are processed safely and humanely. All our pork has a USDA inspection stamp on the package.

shipping and delivery

We serve the “lower 48” U.S. states via FedEx Ground and FedEx Express. Shipping is free. We use innovative cornstarch-based packaging to keep pork frozen and minimize waste. Learn more about how it works.

how to order

To reserve your sampler, we’ll need your contact information and shipping address. Once we’ve confirmed your shipping date, you’ll receive a FedEx tracking number and a payment link. (If you’re in Northwest Arkansas, we’ll deliver your pork by hand, and you’ll be charged upon delivery.)

UPDATE: Because of inconsistent shipment times, we can’t ship to New England (CT, MA, ME, NH, RI, VT) over the summer.
